GLYFADA
The beach of Glyfada is one of the most famous beaches in Corfu. It’s located in the west side of the island, just 16 km from the centre of Corfu. It is ideal for families because it has swallow and warm waters. It is fully organized and accessible for the tourists, who they can do different kind of water sports.
ACHARAVI
Acharavi is located on the north part of the island and it’s a 3 kilometers long sandy beach. It’s fully organized with umbrellas and sunbeds, showers and lockers. Even though it’s cosmopolitan, it’s pretty quiet, away from the main, busy coastal road, with shallow clear waters -ideal for families with young children.
ERMONES
In the middle of the island there is a beach called Ermones. According to the mythology, was the beach in which was found Odysseus, the hero of Homer’s epic poem the Odyssey, from Nausicaa, the daughter of the king of Phaeacia. The beach is surrounded from green hills and it has pebbles and sand.
MARATAHIAS
Marathias is a beautiful coastal resort in the southwest coast of Corfu. The beach is highly recommended by the locals for its crystal waters and the golden sand. The long sandy beach surrounded by the imposing hill forests is ideal for all tastes.Numerous tourist facilities, like umbrellas and sundecks are set on one side.
CANAL D’AMOUR
The beach of Canal d’amour is one the most exotic beaches in Corfu. It is called like this, because whoever swims to the other side of the canal it is said that will meet with the love of his life. The beach is located in Sidari, it is full of bays, caves with warm waters and eroded cliffs that make the place to look like an art work.
YPSOS
This is a very long sandy beach, stretching all the way to the homonymous bay. It’s fully organized, with umbrellas and sunbeds, a diving center and the infrastructure for water sports. The waters are particularly shallow. The nearby village is quite developed with many taverns, shops, snack and beach bars.
